A Computational Investigation of the Lid-Driven Cavity Flow

چکیده

The lid-driven cavity is an important fluid mechanical system that serves as a benchmark for testing numerical methods and studying fundamental aspects of incompressible flows in confined volumes. These are driven by the tangential motion bounding wall. This article presents complete study flows, with primary focus being placed on development flow when Reynolds number was increased. In order to fully comprehend physics flow, it necessary take into consideration not only pure two-dimensional but also periodic one space direction whole three-dimensional flow.
